8th International Arion Competition (Category without age limit):
1st round: participants will have to interpret works of maximum duration 15 minutes.
2nd round: participants will have to interpret works of maximum duration 25 minutes. The repertoire of the 2nd round should not be included in the 1st round.
Prizes:
1st prize: (a) a Milestones of Music (Wolfgabng Jellinghaus) guitar worth of 5000 euro,
(b) 1000 euro,
(c) 40-minute recital at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023 (which will include 300 euros’ payment),
2nd prize: (a) 500 euro and (b) free participation and accommodation at the Summer Academy Arion 2023.
3rd prize: free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023.
Category up to 17 years old (participants born from 01/01/05):
Participants will have to interpret works of maximum duration 15 minutes.
Prizes:
1st prize: a handmade guitar worth of 2.500 euro constructed by the workshop Hordofonon, music material, as well as free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023.
2nd and 3rd prize: free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023.
Category up to 13 years old (participants born from 01/01/09):
Participants will have to interpret works of maximum duration 10 minutes.
Prizes:
1st prize: music material as well as free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023.
2nd and 3rd prize: free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023.
Large guitar ensembles :
Each ensemble will have to interpret works of maximum duration 15 minutes.
Prize:
Free participation at the Arion International Guitar Festival 2023 for every member of the winning ensemble.
