Konstantinos Manolkidis was born in 1994 in Athens and began studying the classical guitar with Letta Vassileiou in 2002 realizing in a very young age that music is history, emotions, moments, but first and foremost it is a way of understanding and making peace with life. While in highschool, he stopped working on the instrument for a few years but after his entrance to the university he decided to aim at finishing his studies in music. In 2015 he obtained a Degree on Classical Guitar under the guidance of Vangelis Simintzis and a Degree on Classical Music Harmony with Nikos Panagiotakis, while studying Statistics at the same time at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He took part in several masterclasses and contests and met with a lot of people that played a significant part in upgrading his aesthetical criterion. In 2018 he obtained a Diploma on Classical Guitar with Angelos Botsis being his teacher and a Degree on Renaissance and Baroque Counterpoint with Nikos Panagiotakis, and also performed the Mario-Castelnuovo Tedesco Guitar Concerto op.99 with the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Pavlos Sergiou, at Koroni Music Festival. Currently he is teaching guitar, participating in many musical ensembles (both classical and non-classical) and studies classical singing with mezzo-soprano, Theodora Baka.
