Bastian Hildner, born in Passau, Germany got his first guitar when he was 10 years old and started learning classical guitar with Prof. Augustin Wiedemann. From 1995 to 1998 he was a member of the Bavarian Guitar Youth Orchestra performing in Germany, Spain and Italy. During that time he got additional lessons with Juergen Schwenkglenks focusing on Brazilian percussion and Latin American guitar music.

In 1998 Hildner was the winner of the German youth music competition in the category guitar ensemble. From 2000 to 2006 he studied with renowned Maestro Prof. Joaquin Clerch at the Robert-Schumann Conservatory of Music in Duesseldorf where he received his diplomas in Guitar Performance and Music Pedagogy. In addition he was refining his craft by taking part in numerous masterclasses with world-class performing artists from around the world.

2007 Bastian Hildner became guitar professor at the prestigious Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, VR China where he built up a very successful guitar class that has produced many international prizewinners. As a concert guitarist his expressive guitar playing and captivating performances have taken him to many European and Asian countries. In his concerts and recordings Hildner is using guitars made by the Spanish luthier Paco Marin.
