Dimitris Nalbandis

He began his music studies at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, in the class of Febi Nikolaidou, and completed them in Athens with Frangiskos Voutsinos, receiving his diploma in solo singing with honors (cum laude). He attended courses in Lied and oratorio with soprano Missa Ikeoutsi and Antonis Kontogeorgiou, acting courses with Dimitris Katalifos, and dance courses with Lila Zafiropoulou.

He has worked with the Opera of Thessaloniki, the Athens, Epidaurus, and Ancient Corinth Festivals, the Demetria Festival in Thessaloniki, as well as with the Athens Concert Hall and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. He has collaborated with prominent conductors such as Lukas Karytinos, Myron Michailidis, Nikos Athinaios, and others, as well as numerous orchestras, including the Athens State Orchestra, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Athens Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Colors, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, the Sofia Amadeus Orchestra, the Romanian Opera House Orchestra in Timisoara, and the Belgrade Opera Orchestra, among others.

He has portrayed roles in opera productions directed by renowned directors such as Michael Hampe, George Kok, Stephen Langridge, Renata Scotto, Giorgos Remoundos, Vassilis Nikolaidis, Alexandros Efklidis, and others. His repertoire includes roles in works such as Rigoletto, Norma, Carmen, Ariadne auf Naxos, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte, as well as operas by Sakellaridis, among others.

He is a founding member of the Eldor Dance Company. He has collaborated with the Greek National Opera in several productions, including The Mask of the Red Death by Dimitris Marangopoulos, Il matrimonio segreto, Les contes d’Hoffmann, The Cretan Girl, The Murderess by Giorgos Koumendakis, and more.
