The string ensemble Ionian Camerata was founded in Corfu in 2012 by Spyros Gikontis assistant violin professor at the Music Department of the Ionian University. Ionian Camerata has given numerous concerts with reperoire which covers the period from Baroque to romanticism. Its main aim is the presentation of Greek composres who have composed works for string orchestra.
