Born in Athens, Greece, Irini has been studying singing under the tutelage of Christina Giannakopoulou at the Athenaeum conservatory. In 2017, she successfully completed the two-year course on Early Music offered by Aris Christofellis and Dimitris Kountouras at the Early Music Center of Athens, Athens Conservatory. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Music Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds a Violin Diploma from the Athenaeum conservatory in the Alexander Mato’s class.
She has had an active presence in concerts and festivals performing with the ensembles Latinitas Νostra (Markellos Chryssicos), Ex Silentio (Dimitris Kountouras), Ensemble of Early Music Center of Athens. She has participated in opera productions of Greek National Opera, Megaron Athens Concert Hall, Athens-Epidaurus Festival and she has also appeared as Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and as Monica in Menotti’s Medium within the framework of “Lefkas Music Week”.
She was a regular member of the Athens Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASON) and the Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra. In collaboration with the musician Apollo Retsos she has taken part in numerous concerts as well as theater and dance performances (National Theater of Greece, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Tanec Praha Festival in Prague, Megaron Athens Concert Hall, the Schoolwave festival).
