Jing Han

Born and raised in China, Jing Han was first introduced to music at age 5 when she took up the piano. Fascinated by the beautiful sound, at age 13, she switched to the French horn. Jing Han ultimately received a Bachelor in Music from the Xi’an Conservatory of Music and then furthered her studies abroad at the Robert Schumann School of Music in Düsseldorf, Germany, studying with Prof. Joachim Pöltl. After receiving her master’s degree, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Chamber Music and finished with the highest marks. During that time she additionally studied with horn legend Hermann Baumann.

A keen chamber musician, Jing Han loves to explore the possibilities of the horn in various ensembles and most recently is performing in a unique duo formation together with the German classical guitarist Bastian Hildner.

In addition to performing, she is passionate about education and is proud to be the Horn Professor at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China. She has given master classes and lectures throughout Asia. Her students have won numerous awards in various competitions, home and abroad.
