He was born in 1994 in Athens and began studying the classical guitar with Letta Vassileiou in 2002 realizing in a very young age that music is history, emotions, moments, but first and foremost it is a way of understanding and making peace with life. Αfter his entrance to the university he decided to further develop his aesthetical criterion.
In 2015 he obtained a Degree on Classical Guitar under the guidance of Vangelis Simintzis and a Degree on Classical Music Harmony with Nikos Panagiotakis, while studying Statistics at the same time at the Athens University of Economics and Business, from which he graduated in 2017.
In 2018 he obtained a Diploma on Classical Guitar with Angelos Botsis being his teacher and a Degree on Renaissance and Baroque Counterpoint with Nikos Panagiotakis, and also performed the Mario-Castelnuovo Tedesco Guitar Concerto op.99 with the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Pavlos Sergiou, at Koroni Music Festival.
In 2019 he received the first prize for his work “Egkainia” at the International Guitar Composition Competition in Veria, exclusively composed for the guitar duet Duo Melis. Its premiere and recording are going to be performed by Duo Melis and the piece will be published in 2020 by the Canadian Productions d’Oz.
Currently he is teaching guitar at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine (Jerusalem & Bethlehem) in collaboration with the University of Birzeit, while studying at the same time in Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with Professor Yoram Zerbib, as a grantee of Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation. For the academic year 2020-2021 he has been assigned to perform the premieres of contemporary experimental works for guitar by several Greek composers.
He has attended masterclasses with many of the world’s leading soloists and taken part in contests in which he has been repeatedly awarded. He also gave many concerts participating in musical ensembles (classical, modern and traditional) performing both in different regions of Greece and abroad as a guitarist, singer and choir member.
