Kostas Amaxopoulos picked up the classical guitar on April 2009 as a stuent of Gabriel Pavlidis. In 2010 he was accepted in the class of the famous Greek guitarist Costas Cotsiolis in the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
Between 2012 and 2017 he had the pleasure of studying In Munich Germany, Alicante Spain and Salzburg Austria next to renowned artists and revolutionaries of the guitar such as Franz Halasz, David Russell, Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, Paul Galbraith and Eliot Fisk.
Kostas Amaxopoulos has performed in venues such as the Government House of Hong Kong, Grosser Saal (HfMT Munich), Ehrbar Saal (Vienna), Oumigakudou Hall (Tokyo), Bert Church Theater (Airdrie, Canada), National Museum of Serbia, Instituto Cervantes (Munich), Auditorio Teresa Cuervo Boda (Bogotá) between others.
During his studies, Kostas was often supported by various scholarships such as Junge Solisten by Siemens, Live Musik Now Yehudi Menuhin, von Rauscher auf Weeg (first time awarded to a guitarist), Oscar und Vera Ritter Stiftung.
