Myrsini Margariti

Myrsini Margariti is a versatile soprano with a wide repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. The international press has praised her musicality, virtuosity, purity of tone, and impressive stage presence.

 

After completing her studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, she began her career as Serpetta in Mozart’s opera La finta giardiniera at the Landestheater Salzburg, followed by numerous appearances in theatres and concert halls across Europe, Mexico, Indonesia, and China, with highlights including performances at the BBC Proms Festival, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Bozar in Brussels, among others.

 

Between 2006 and 2009, she was a permanent member of the soloist ensemble of the Halle Opera in Germany.

 

She has appeared in roles including Ilia (Idomeneo), Vera (The Apaches of Athens) at the Olympia Theatre, Alcina (Alcina) at the International Handel Festival in Halle, Mdm de Rochefide (Sarrasine), Fillide (Aminta e Fillide), and Anastasio (Giustino) at the International Handel Festival in Göttingen, Morgana (Alcina) and Micaëla (Carmen) at the Athens Festival, Zemfira (Aleko, broadcast on international channels Mezzo & medici.tv), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), the Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), and the Baroness in Giorgos Kouroupos’ opera Leporella at the Greek National Opera.

 

She has also performed the role of Bellezza (Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno) at the Baroque Festival in Valletta, Malta; Armida (Rinaldo) on tour in Switzerland and Germany; Angelica (Orlando Furioso) at the Athens Concert Hall; and Elle in Poulenc’s opera La voix humaine at the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, as well as in numerous concerts.

 

She teaches at the Athens Conservatoire, the Athens Conservatoire College, and the Kodály Conservatory.
