Rosa Poulimenou studied Piano and Music Theory at the Corfu Conservatoire and classical singing at the Athenaeum Conservatoire. She continued her studies in musicology and classical singing at the London University, the Birmingham Conservatoire and the Music Academy of Vienna. She has attended Master Classes with Frangiskos Voutsinos, Rachel Yakar, Helga Wagner and Christa Ludwig.
She was also a scholar at the Academie Musicale de Villecroze, the Academie Internationale “Maurice Ravel”, “Crear” and the Bach Akademie of Stuttgart.
Rosa Poulimenou has appeared as a soloist in Europe, Asia and the United States performing Opera, Oratorio, Lied, as well as Contemporary Music. She has appeared with ensembles and Orchestras like Melos Brass, Il Canto delle Muse, Almazis, the Orchestra of Colours, the Athens State Symphony Orchestra, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Manhattan Philharmonia of New York, the Athens Camerata, the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra, the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London and has collaborated with conductors such as Miltos Logiadis, Lucas Karytinos, Peter Tiboris, Helmuth Rilling, Antony Walker, Daniel Hoyem-Cavazza and Alessandro Ferrari.
She is associate Professor and in charge of the vocal studies at the Ionian University, Department of Music Studies. She has also given Master Classes at several Music Institutions and Academies abroad such as the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Fondazione Paolo Grassi, Conservatorio di Monopoli, (Italy), Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien, Austrian ArtsSessions (Austria), University of Mahidol, (Thailand), University of Nevada, Las Vegas και William and Mary College, Virginia (USA).
She has recorded songs and operas of Greek Composers.
