Tasos Rosopoulos

Tasos Rosopoulos was born in 1974 in Athens. At the age of six he took his first music lessons as student of classical guitar. Later parallel with his studies at the National Technical University he continued his music education following theory and composition lessons with I.Papadatos, P.Adam and B.Foster. Additionally he studied improvisation and jazz arranging with K.Baltazanis and T.Paterelis as well as theatre and cinema composition with D.Papadimitriou.

His compositions include works for ensembles, string orchestra as well as electronics. Many of them have been interpreted by distinguished orchestras and soloists (Kamerata Athens , Greek National Radio and Television Orchestra, Orchestra of Colours).

Furthermore he has composed theatre, film, advertisement music and he has done numerous orchestrations and arrangements for recordings, concerts, theatre and film productions.

From 2003 to 2015 he worked at the Greek National Radio and Television Organization as Radio Third Programme assistant manager, as Radio Orchestras consultant of artistic affairs, and as Radio Head programme and production assistant manager.

Songs of his have been included in ‘poetry set to music’ compilations while his work ‘The Triad Method’ is published by the ‘ypsilon’ editions. ‘Prefiguring a glance’ is his last release, “Ianemta –the sound of the park and ‘The Young Prince and the Dragon” his latest performances.
