The mezzo soprano Theodora Baka was born in Larisa, where she studied singing with Kitsa Damasioti. She continued her studies at the Academy for Music and Theatre of Hannover (Germany). She has cooperated with the Greek National Opera, the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, as well as with opera theatres in Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Austria, and Russia.She has performed as soloist with numerous orchestras from Greece and abroad such as Il Complesso Barocco (Alan Curtis), MusicAeterna (Th. Kourentzis).
She is also performing with the Early Music ensembles such as Ex Silentio, Latinitas Nostra (Markellos Chrysikopoulos), Atalante (Erin Headley) and United Continuo Service.
She has participated in many recordings, among them with works by G.F.Handel and D. Scarlatti under the direction of George Petrou and Alan Curtis.
