ARION – International Guitar Festival of Molyvos, held in Molyvos, the hometown of the legendary kitharode, is now in its twelfth year. This summer, Arion turns its gaze to memory – both collective and personal – which serves as the precious raw material of art.
The festival seeks out traditions and simple human stories from the local community and invites the people of Mithymna to share with us what still needs to stay alive, to be passed on from mouth to mouth.
Artistic Director: Korina Vougiouka
